Manchester United outclassed Arsenal on Mental Strength

After nearly a decade, after multiple managers have come and gone at Manchester United, for the first time the game got its MAGIC back (Keane and Viera would have been proud). Thanks to the Creativity of Arsenal and the Lightning counterattack combined with a Solid defensive performance from the ever-improving Manchester United.

The first 10 minutes of the game where United controlled pretty much everything is the first time in God knows how long that United have played a table topper with utmost confidence. The smooth passing and the controlled defense were something that has been attached to teams of the Ferguson era (Yes you heard it right, an era).

Though Ronaldo not starting is something not liked the team showed what it is to play for Manchester United. After the disallowed goal Arsenal slowly started to control the game and when they were trying to unsettle the united defense, Anthony (the man who was brought in to close the gap on the Right Wing) completed a slick sequence of passing. A well-deserved goal.

Arsenal rightly made the tie even and they were dominating the rest of the first half and the first part of the second half. You gotta give it to the Manchester defense with Martinez avoiding a penalty tackle in the last second that if committed would have been a goal for Arsenal. Ronaldo was brought in and did a decent job though a more active Bruno would have helped Ronaldo to score his first of the season. Arsenal more focused on scoring got a rude awakening when Erickson made a defense splitting pass (giving a reminder of his immense talent) for Rashford to score and then providing an assist to take the game away from the Gunners.

In the last fifteen minutes United followed the final game plan and controlled the onslaught from Arsenal. As the referee blew his final whistle Manchester United had won four games in a row for the first time in more than a year.
